Folks, had a blether with Norman last night, my concerns are the booking agent
is not ABTA bonded and the vessel at 25m is some 10-12m shorter than usual
boats so may not be able to cope with the weather in early spring? The trip
advisor reports are very good but based upon day/3 day safaris.
Norm has done a great job researching the availability as there the usual
constraints people's availability, don't know what the thought is but it may be
we can't do us all going at the same time?
I still want to go but do Northern wrecks on a big boat, chat on Monday?

Subject: [budc] Rethink on Club Trip to the Red Sea
Following feedback on the original planned trip. Lack of wrecks on it and the
date. ( I should have known Banstead dive Club was full of old wreckies )
I've now got - Plan marked B
There seems to be a lack of availability, for a group of divers on the normal
dive boats that we use that are going out on wreck itineraries for the first
few months in 2017. So I've looked at the possibility of a private hire of a
smaller dive boat.
The one I've come up with is one called "DEEP DARK" that takes 9 divers.
Deep Dark was purpose built as a technical dive boat, so it can cater for all
types of divers. It is also the only boat I know of in the Red Sea that has a
divers lift on it.
The big advantage for us would be that we can set our own itinerary for the week
The date is now 18th to 25th March and at the moment the boat is available for
that week
The cost of the boat is 5800 euros for the week. If there is 9 divers it will
work out at 645 euros each.
Flights + Visa at the moment will work out at approximately ?425 with one hold
bag.
