Following on from our AGM on Tuesday, two things:
1. NEW YEARs DINNER Im hoping to arrange a dinner for club members
and partners/guests on Saturday evening, 14 January 2023. Id like to have
some idea of numbers interested before I approach a restaurant. Could you
please let me know by this coming Sunday (11 Dec) whether you would be
interested and, if so, whether that would include a partner/guest?
2. RED SEA Ive been looking at two Emperor Divers trips, both
departing 28 April 2022 for 7 nights from Hurghada. One is Famous Five on
Emperor Superior (includes Abu Nuhas, the Thistlegorm, Rosalie Moller, Salem
Express, Shark & Yolanda, and the Brothers), the other is the more
conventional Reefs & Wrecks on Emperor Asmaa. Famous Five is quoted at
from £1165.30, Reefs & Wrecks at from £1070.70, both excluding flights. Id
be looking to arrange a total package (including flights) for one of these
(depending as much as anything on availability) through an agent but Ive
included the basic dive package price minus flights here to give an idea.
Id hope that, if there were a number of us, costs might reduce (Emperor
offer group discounts). More details of the itineraries, inclusions and
exclusions, at https://www.emperordivers.com/. Places appear to be filling
up quickly some trips in April/May already have only a few places
available, so again, could I please have any initial expressions of interest
by this coming Sunday?
