Hi Alan
Sorry that I did not get back to you sooner but my phone has problems getting
BUDC emails.
Tomorrow is off so no need to pick up the boat kit.
The vis out there at the moment is 0 so not much point in diving.
Was thinking of taking the boat out so that members who have not driven for
some time can have a practise.
Sunday would be best for this if your interested as we could use the high tide
to get in and out/
Let me know by text if you are up for it George is willing ..

Hi Julian and George, I am close to Banstead Village so could collect the box
but as Bryan has suggested, the weather looks rubbish:
Force 4 with gusts of up to force 6
3 - 4 m swells.
A veritable herd of white horses:((((

Can you let me know your thoughts please?
As an alternative I notice Wraysbury is turn up and dive between 0900 -1500
hrs. So will give that a go if I have to. As they seem ro be the only ones not
insisting on prior membership, I dont know how big the queue will be but
having serviced and sorted our kit, I am beyond keen to get wet!!!!!
Warm Regards
Alan

Hi All
We have Julian, George, Alan and Alex down for tomorrow. Looking at the
current forecast I’m assuming you are not going, but will leave you to organise
between yourselves if you think you want to give it a go….
Steve Spurgin has the boat box and O2 etc
We did take the boat out yesterday. Was a bit lumpy both ways, but safe and
manageable. Viz was always a concern given the recent weather, and Steve Askew,
who’s first two UK dives were 10m+ on the mulberries, and 5m+ on the Shirala
asked how bad it could be. He now knows. 😊
We had problem with the starboard engine as we left the Arun, as it kept
cutting out as soon as we tried to give it some throttle. We eventually left it
to run for a couple of minutes on fast idle, and it then ran fine. Only other
issue was the trunk kept dropping down, so may need to replaced the cleats, or
at least the springs
