Dear All

The club accounts were presented at the AGM the other evening having
previously been circulated to all members.  These show a deficit of £3,345
for the year (deficit of £2,190 for the previous year).  This includes
depreciation of club assets (which is almost entirely the new engine on the
boat as most other club assets have already been fully written down in
previous years).  However, there is still a deficit each year even on a cash
basis as shown by the balance at bank reducing from:

*        £26,743 at 31 Oct 2020 to;

*        £8,824 at 31 Oct 2021 (new engine and refurb) to;

*        £7,642 at 31 Oct 2022 to;

*        £6,264 at 30 Nov 2022 (new boat cover and engine service).

A number of measures were agreed at the AGM to try to get back to a break
even position on a cash basis.  These included increasing club subs from
£11.00 / month (£132.00 / year) to £15.00 / month (£180.00 / year).  This
only brings them back to what they were from before at least 2005 up to Jan
2020 when they were reduced to the current level.  For those of you paying
by DD you dont need to do anything as I will sort this out direct with
BSAC.  For those paying annually the increase will apply from your next
