I am sorry that I can’t make it. It is too close to my concert and there is a
lot to get ready for. Thank you! Christine Diaz.⛵️⚓️

Hello sailors!
It's warming up! Us Bostonians know to be cautious and call this the
"spring of deception" that precedes the final blizzard, but fingers crossed
- good sailing weather approaches!
The Steering Committee would like to share with you the second draft of the
Boston Blind Sailing Bylaws, attached here. We would like to thank everyone
who participated in giving us feedback and helped us make this a more
comprehensive and polished document. Most of the changes were minor, but
one I feel worth mentioning is that the document's language has changed to
include people who are neither guides nor blind sailors with respect to
participating in committees.
In the upcoming weeks we would like to have a vote to ratify the bylaws.
Anyone with a vested interest in the future of the group is eligible to
vote. We are currently coordinating with CBI to set up a time to have a
voting gathering, where we can also celebrate our progress and kick off the
season together. There will also be the option to submit your ballot
online. Stay tuned for a date in the next couple of weeks.
For those wondering what comes after that, once we have the bylaws
ratified, we will hold a vote to elect board members, who will then elect
committees, and continue with steps to become a 501(c)(3). Thank you
everyone for your patience as we carefully go through all of these steps to
have a solid foundation as a non-profit blind sailing group in Boston. We
know it has been a long ride!
Hope to see you soon,
Grace & the Steering Committee
