Hello, this is Christine Diaz and I will not be there on Tuesday because I am
going on a sun set cruse with my sister tomorrow. I will be there next week as
long as the weather permits.⛵️⚓️

Hello!
Can you believe there are only two weeks left in August?? Come September,
the sunset will probably be too early to have meaningful practices. With
that in mind, I encourage you all to take advantage of these last couple of
weeks of blind sailing! Even if you haven't been out yet this year, consider
it!
Now, if you're bummed about the end of the season, fear not, there are some
opportunities for fall sailing. Community Boating has their annual Charles
Basin Invitational Regatta on September 15, and they would love for some
blind sailors to participate! From the event description:
Registration fee is $50 per boat if you register and pay on or before August
24th ($60 if later), which covers the day’s racing, post-regatta cookout,
and awards. There will also be live music and beer. Proceeds after expenses
will go towards the Junior Racing Program at CBI; we are thrilled to help
young racers in Massachusetts, while creating a spirited competitive event
for Boston area sailors! Participants get a great day of sailing, as well as
making racing possible for young sailors! Registration is on-line at Yacht
Scoring: https://yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=5977 ;.
If you are interested in sailing in this regatta but don't have a sighted
guide, don't hesitate to reach out to our little fleet! We can absolutely
match you with someone and help you get ready for race day.
With all that said, who is in for practice this week? Tuesday at 5:30 at
Courageous, and Thursday at 5:30 at CBI?
Sail fast,
Grace
