For those of you who did not get a chance to tune into the live Sail Sports
Talk program on which I was interviewed moments ago, in addition to handling
a host of other topics, I was able to give a shout out to 82 million
individuals about ADAPTIVE SAILING GENERALLY, AND BLIND SAILING SPECIFICALLY,
The podcast of the interview will be available in a few days and I was told
by the producers of the show that they encourage embedding links to the show
on other websites. So feel free to post a link on the CBI website to the
podcast when it is released in a few days. If anyone would like a direct link
to the podcast, just let me know and I will forward it. Also, just FYI,
Windy, the skipper of Maiden which was the boat with an all women crew who
competed in the 1989 Whitbread around the world race and who is featured in
the documentary titled “maiden” playing in theaters now, will be the next
guest of the Sail Sports Talk show next Tuesday. It is great that adaptive
sailing is generating enough street cred to mingle with the sailing elite.
There you go.
Walt
