BSG Members,
2 day survey on Red River, Jun 6 & 7, Arkansas from Index to state line and Louisiana from state line to Hy2 Bridge.  Super weather, cloudy and cool, 107 miles of river.
336 least terns (60 in LA)
7 bald eagles, record number, all in ARK
Islands are in great shape, well scoured, river very low, minus 1.8 at Fulton, rapids below Index a bir of a challenge to run, with experience needed.
Terns are pair bonding, scrape building, dancing and fish offering, with 1/3 or so already nesting.  3 eggs in nearly all nests.  The season looks very hopeful.
Hubert
