BIRD STUDY GROUP
Empid flycatchers were hanging around ragweed along the forest edge of the 
slough and adjacent riparian area along the Diversion Canal. 

Tentatively identified one warbler as a Common Yellowthroat. Notes: Light, 
lemon yellow below. Light gray above with gray face and partial white eye 
rings. No wing bars. Slightly larger than nearby American Redstart. Was in 
heavy brush along interior trail of slough woodlot. No pictures!

This site is an ebird hotspot and included as part of the Boyce Loop in the 
Lane's Guide to Louisiana birding sites.
