BIRD STUDY GROUP ----- Forwarded Message ----- From: Jay V Huner <jvh0660@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: piku1 <piku1@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, Tom P <drtomdude@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Mon, 31 Mar 2014 20:22:42 -0500 (CDT) Subject: Birding in Rapides Parish 30/31 March 14 Thought BSG members might be interested in what I found during the past two days. Yesterday, I stayed at home around Cotile Lake. Today, I ventured SE to the J. H. Overton Lock and Dam (No.2) on the Red River and nearby Elbow Slough WMA. I have found no real concentration of neotrops but have found some. Could probably have really padded the list if I'd have gone to Kincaid Reservoir. Guess I really ought to see if I can get 100 in a day in Rapides Parish. 75 was good for two days.
