Rick – IN for Spring (and for tonight)
We should have a long list of subs to make sure we never have to forfeit. $100
is a lot.

Subject: [brownshockey] Spring season
Who is in?
From Tom:
"Please respond with your intentions for the next season.
Notes for the Spring:
Hockey Day is Saturday 5/11/19
With the disappointing rate of forfeits this season and for Saturday games,
from here on you will be charged with a $100.00 forfeit fee if you no-show for
your Saturday game or fail to let me know AT LEAST 1 week in advance. I put
this date out early so teams can prepare.....having a team work around their
Saturday game and then have another team not even bother to call is pretty
disrespectful. We all have families and other things to do.....so a heads up is
all I am asking for. If you give advance warning your team will still have to
pay the usual $50 fee to cover the refs/sk for the hour, but not the additional
$50 inconvenience fee which will be given as a credit to the other team for the
following season. THis is NOT a money grab....it's a deterrent for teams. There
were 2 no-shows and 4 forfeits this last set of Saturday games.
Jerseys
If your team needs jerseys or pants do not hesitate to ask me about them....the
turnaround once an order is placed is about 3 weeks.....if you want them during
this upcoming season then you need to get to me by the end of April. Jerseys
are $55 for a minimum of 5 pcs.....pants are $50 ea. If you do a pant/jersey
combo I can do it for $90/player. Re-orders have no minimums but are at full
price. I have a full set of sizing samples available at the rink as well.
Scoresheets
The stats seem to be going well, thanks to Steve Napolitano. The best way to
ensure that they are accurate is that you check them after the game and make
sure the scorekeeper gets them right during the game. We are using the GAMES
PLAYED on the stats site to determine playoff eligibility, so MAKE SURE that is
accurate and all of your players get credit for games they play. Players MUST
have played in 4 games to be eligible to play in the playoffs....with
exceptions for injury, or if the player is a FULL SHARE PAID player on your
roster. ( Which has to have been submitted to me PRIOR to the season's start).
Draft League
Our draft leagues are going great....if you haven't tried it yet, please ask me
for more info....LOTS of fun and we have big things planned for the future to
expand them.
Tournaments
I have a Saturday draft-style tournament planned for April and a full-team,
regular style tourney for July. If you are interested in either let me know.
Hockey Fest
I am penciling in a date in July for 'Hockey Fest'. Where we open our doors to
everyone for a day of hockey and vendors. I want to jump start youth hockey
here and this is the kick off. We will have skating lessons for kids, adults,
hockey clinics for adults, a 'Pro" level game for everyone to watch, and some
pickup games for people to try out the game. If you have a company that would
like table space where the audience is hockey, health, or sports related, let
me know so we can arsomethingmthing.
2nd Annual DMCCF Summer Classic
