Newsletter No: 19 Date: 20 February 2007 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts This year, 2007, Scouting is 100 years old. To mark this event, any of our pupils who are in beavers, cubs or scouts can wear their uniform to school on Thursday, 22 February, this being the birthday of Lord Baden-Powell who founded the scout movement. Book Fair & World Book Day To celebrate World Book Day on 1st March, we are holding a special Book Fair. This will be run after school from Thursday 22nd February to Tuesday 27th February (inclusive). Each child will receive a free Book Token worth £1 which can be used at the Book Fair towards the cost of any higher price book. Participating bookshops will accept the tokens between Monday 26th February and Sunday 25th March. If you want to know more, visit the website www.worldbookday.com <http://www.worldbookday.com/> .
