Don't chuck away you're slightly longer form; I think if Darren does decide to
read the shortened one, we'll need the longer
interpretation to go up as a written shownote summary?

Subject: [brlcast] Re: BrailleCast news
Hi,
First, a correction in my offering for Jackie - iOS should read news, not
music.
A couple of suggestions now we've got everything in.
1. Move the order around so that the technical stuff is first and in order of
number of people impacted: iOS, Humanware, Vario. Then
go to the softer stuff (Onkyo, Musical, wear dots.
2. We might perhaps also want to do some more condensing? TO my mind, it should
be headlines, rather than paragraphs, for example:
. Apple recently released iOS 10.3 with a number of Braille fixes,
notably better focus within the Mail and news apps when
using Braille displays, and stability improvements for the Focus models. Some
users are still reporting connectivity issues with
certain Braille display manufacturers, specifically the EuroBraille offerings.
. A year after the Touch's initial release, HumanWare has released
version 3.0 of the software for the BrailleNote Touch with
better document-switching, extra voices and more Braille tables. More on the
Touch later.
. Baum customers using a VarioUltra can now download an update that
includes initial support for Unified English Braille
translation along with other bug fixes.
. in less technical news: A new musical depicting Louis Braille's life
is being shown at the Charing Cross Theatre London,
until the third week of June.
. The RNIB are accepting entries for the annual Onkyo Braille essay
competition, the deadline is May 31st.
. And finally the RNIB have moved their Wear Dots month from October to
May, and are sending out fundraising packs on
request.
PR -
. Baum is ""ow" as in house.
. Onkyo is onk yo, not onky o.
. Louis is loui, a silent s
3. Do we also need a specific sign on/off? Perhaps our newsreader can come up
with something?
Jackie, I don't want to take over in any way, all of this is just my
interpretations
