This is high mountain habitat at the Elk Knob State Natural

Area, just 3/4 mile SE of the Johnson Co., TN and Watauga

Co. NC line where Sam Cooper reported a Blue-winged Warbler

and four (4) Golden-winged Warblers on Friday, 9 May 2014.

It is just a mile east of the small population of the Golden-

Winged reported earlier along the Johnson Co.(TN-NC) line.

The elevation is 4,280 feet.  It is at the Elk Knob State

Park in Pottertown Gap near the intersection of Meat Camp Rd.

and Old Wood Rd. in Watauga Co., NC.
