The first woodcocks of the year, here at the farm, were observed Feb 21 at
About 6:45 pm. There have been up to three woodcocks calling and doing the sky
dance every evening, and every morning since then. They start at about the same
time each evening around 6:45. They go for about 20 minutes and then quiet
down. Birders are invited to come to the farm on Saturday, Mar 5 to observe the
evening flights.
