Wow. Leslie and I were looking downriver with bins toward the same area, and saw what looked like a white pelican, but since it was about a mile & 1/2 away, we passed it off as floating litter - duh.

Nice find, Rose. That makes 3 years in a row for white pelicans on upper Douglas Lake.

About 6 PM Saturday, a friend and I observed one American White Pelican up
river from the bridge area on 25E before Dutch Bottoms on the Morristown side.
