Rick Knight called at 4:54 p.m. to report a Whimbrel at Musick's Campground and the American Avocets (found earlier today) still present. He said all are within view of the usual gravel parking area near the edge of South Holston Lake. He said the birds are seen well to the left in the direction of the new mansion construction that has the red roof. If the rain breaks in the next couple of hours or so before dark, storm-related and downed migrants could still arrive. Let's go birding . . . Wallace Coffey Bristol, TN
