Area Birders:

The following weather information was lifted from a message by Paul Lehman
in New Jersey who usually has a good handle on weather and birding.

He says a pronounced cold front is forecast to have arrived by this weekend,
with much colder temps and NW winds on Saturday into Sunday. This follows
the
prolonged warm spell with continuous southerly flow of some sort that
many of us have been having the past week. So get out and check your
rivers, lakes, and ponds when the cold air and NW winds arrive!
Also, given the prolonged mild period with southerly flow, there has
very likely been a "penned up" migration of regular short-distance
passerine migrants, owls, and hawks, so the weekend should be good for
those as well.

Make your plans to be in the field this weekend and get all over some good
birding.

Let's go birding.....
