Yesterday I counted at least 117 Cedar Waxwings hanging around in the backyard.
They were apparently attracted by the English Ivy berries hanging in an old
chestnut tree. Today I flushed a Woodcock on my "nature trail," the back half
of the lot which is allowed to grow wild. This is a first one I have ever seen
at this location.
