Chris O'Bryan, of Piney Flats, TN, was notified this morning that he has been selected for one of two positions to be hired by The University of Florida as a herpetology research technician in a summer research program. There were 137 college graduates who applied. He will be stationed at the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge in the Big Bend of Florida, 25 miles south of Tallahassee and live in U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service facilities. Chris will study Gopher Tortoises populations with Dr. Raymond Carthy, Florida Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit of The University of Florida.
