8-18-11, A.M. FS Rd. 230 across Unaka Mt. from TN395 near Erwin to TN107 near Unicoi This morning I intercepted three mixed species flocks on FS Rd. 230 on Unaka Mt. Dark-eyed Juncos were the most numerous birds in the flocks, but they also contained warblers, vireos, and Red-breasted Nuthatches, as well as a Downy Woodpecker in each flock.
