John,
Based on previous occurrences in this region, siskins will depart  
sometime in Jan., or Feb., or Mar., or Apr., or possibly even in May.
In other words, the usual "rules" don't apply to siskins and some others.
Enjoy them while you've got them, as it may be several years before they
invade in these numbers again.
