The cast for fall migration keeps changing.Sunday, I had some different birds at home in Hampton, Carter Co., TN, including a male Hairy Woodpecker, Tennessee Warbler and White-eyed Vireo. I am also still seeing Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Gray Catbirds. I heard but did not see a Red-breasted Nuthatch.
I also saw a Mourning Cloak butterfly at a puddling place I keep moistened in the gravel driveway.
