I was skunked by the Harlequin (about 2 PM at Riverfront). At the confluence of the north and south forks of the river, I did see two Red-breasted Mergansers (males) and a pair of Ring-necked Ducks. On the island about 1/2 mile west of Netherland Inn, there are six nests with Great Blue Herons (7) on them. About 20 Black Vultures and 8 Double-crested Cormorants and 12 American Coots were sharing the island.
