On Sept. 1, I had Red-breasted Nuthatches, Wood Thrush, Red-eyed Vireos and
Black-throated Green Warblers in the woodlands around my home in Hampton, TN,
in Carter County.

On Sept. 2, from the boardwalk at the Erwin Linear Path over the wetlands in
Unicoi County I had a Northern Waterthrush, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Green
Heron and Cedar Waxwings.

That same day at home I had my first fall Magnolia Warbler, first fall
Blue-headed Vireo, first fall Brown Creeper, Red-breasted Nuthatches, Hooded
Warblers, Ovenbirds, Worm-eating Warbler and Black-throated Blue Warbler. Also,
visiting the yard was a flock of 90+ Common Grackles. Overhead, at this same
time, were 40+ Common Nighthawks.
