3 Feb 2014

A white adult ROSS'S GOOSE - a rare winter visitor to Southwest Virginia --
was at Clear Creek

Lake today (3 Feb 2014). While inside the Bristol Virginia City Limits,
this record is also attributed

to Washington County.

Vicky Frye's Snow Goose was found at Saltville, VA in Smyth County. I could
not locate her

Mallard-size dark duck with a white breast.

A strange bird at Crabtree Pond on US 19 in Abingdon, Washington Co., VA,
appears to be a

possible hybrid Snow Goose X ????? It has gray feathering on the back, no
black in tail,

grinning patch and almost as large as a Canada Goose. There were about 20
Gadwalls along

Lake Dr. And hundreds of Canada geese everywhere.

Let's go birding . . .
