Rick Knight telephoned at 11:16 a.m. (Sunday, 5 October 2014) to

report he was looking at six (6) FRANKLIN'S GULLS which

were downstream of the Austin Springs Bridge (in the direction

of the US 11E Bridge). This is in the edge of Johnson City, TN

in Washington County and upstream from Winged Deer Park

but you can't see the gulls from the park. You can get to the

bridge from US11E by driving back towards Piney Flats and

turning in the road in Sullivan Couty which is next to

Tractor Supply. Driving to the end of that road and turning

right down to the bridge. Then look to the right of the bridge.

The birds are on Boone Lake.
