Visitors:
Amanda and Eddie Boggs, Alyson Long; and John Clonce III and Lora
Castle(both helped as observers). Mollie Lowery, a herpetology student,
visited for a while. She was looking for green salamanders and
rattlesnakes.
Weather:
Another hot, sunny and dry day with variable cloud cover at times.
Raptor Observations:
The Broad-winged hawks passed the tower steadily, mostly single birds or
5-6 at a time until 3 pm or so. A kettle of 34 was spotted between 3-4 by
our newest volunteer, Michael Ripper of Kingsport, Tn.
Non-raptor Observations:
No report
Predictions:
Very warm and sunny. Little change in overall weather pattern. Ron
Harrington and Sam Evans will be at the tower.
