Dave Taylor and I walked some of the area around the ponds and wetlands on the back nine at Meadowview Golf Course this morning. Among the species seen were Green Heron, Osprey (visible soaring over Horse Creek and the Sluice), two Spotted Sandpipers, a Yellow Warbler near the foot path under Meadowview Parkway, two Gray Catbirds who were uncharactistically forward while we were looking at the warbler, indicating probable presence of a nest nearby, and a nesting Blue Gray Gnatcatcher. We will probably go back to that area next Thursday morning and go up to the wooded ridge on the back nine behind Eastman Credit Union. Let me know if you want to participate.
