Harry Lee Farthing called today and asked me to report he had a Least Bittern
at Phipps Bend, in the same area where a Least Bittern was located last year by
Rick Phillips. Harry Lee also had several Prothonotary Warblers, a few
Redstarts and a Northern Oriole.
On a different note I had a Grasshopper Sparrow along Crestview Road before
Henderson Marsh. I checked Bush Hog Pond for the Warbling Vireo that Roy
Knispel had yesterday. I did not find the vireo but had a Re d-headed
Woodpecker fly in.
I also had my first Chuck-wills-widow singing at my house near Fall Branch last
night.
