Spent the morning on Boone Lake striper fishing. Put the boat in at Pickens
Bridge then worked up the Holston side.
Observed
4 adult bald eagles, two near Boone Dam and two near Davis dock;
3 osprey throughout the morning, one diving near our bait;
10 blue winged teal;
15+ Great Blue Herons. The Muddy Creek rookery is again active; and
40+ Cormorants near the Muddy Creek rookery.
FYI the boat ramp at Davis does not appear to be usable during this low
water event. Rumor has it that TVA is considering adding a ramp on the
Holston side of the lake.
