Here is another example of an immature Cooper's Hawk with a very prominent supercilliary stripe (eyestripe). This came up on the TN-Brids list a couple of weeks ago when someone photographed an immature Cooper's Hawk and though it might be an immature Goshawk. You see this eyestripe quite frequently in young birds and it can be a source of confusion, especially if the bird is far away or you just get a quick look.
