Katherine,

Isn’t this amazing to have the little hummer – especially since it’s the middle
of November?

What can be done to keep the liquid from freezing? Perhaps some members have
ideas. I read recently about using light bulbs. Maybe somebody could build you
a wooden box – 4 sides and a bottom. Hang it with the open top facing the side.
Hang the feeder inside, plus hang a light bulb inside. The hummer “should” hop
inside to the unfrozen liquid.

Good luck. It’s such a treat to have hummers around.
