The clouds gradually broke up as the as the day progressed to mostly sunny conditions, with good thermals and plenty of clouds for a backdrop. Raptor Observations: Some of the larger kettles of hawks were at the limit of 10X binoculars, far out over the valleys both northwest and southeast of the tower.
