Just wanted to thank Bob & Ellen, and everyone who made the newest birders feel 
welcome at the holiday party.  It was TOO much fun!  

Also, the New York Times had an interesting article on a birder who was 
arrested for shooting a feral cat.  I had a stray cat stalking my back deck 
feeders this summer - a baby gate & two buckets of cold water finally banished 
the intruder.
