I too saw the owlets who are now taking up most of the nest at the Ft. Patrick
Henry dam. I also noticed that the Great Blue Herons have moved into the same
tree. That section of the rookery had been empty. I guess the extra work of
building from the bottom up out weighed the worry of owl neighbors.
Checked for the DeVault Bridge Great Horned Owls over the weekend. Did not see
or hear any activity out of them. I will make a late evening trip to listen
for that rowdy food begging.
