[Bristol-Birds] Foray being planned for Shady Valley, Johnson County, NE Tn June 10-12

Members of the Herndon Bird Club and the Bristol Bird Club, together with
residents of Shady Valley and the Nature Conservancy, are planning a Foray for
the Shady Valley area for June 10-12, 2011. The foray was conceived by Wallace
Coffey, President elect of the Bristol Bird Club, partly to commemorate
anniversaries of two previous Shady Valley forays.
50 years ago (June, 1961) the Herndon Chapter organized an initial Shady Valley
Foray and held similar events for two succeeding years.
35 years ago (1976) the Bristol Bird Club conducted a greatly successful foray
in Shady Valley.
As planning proceeds, information on the foray schedule, activities, routes to
Shady Valley, and information on motels and campgrounds in the area will be
made available through Bristol-birds, TN-birds and other appropriate sources.
