From: Shanna Kincheloe To: Wallace Coffey Sent: April 01, 2012 10:57 Subject: Eagles on the clinch. Hatchlings have been spotted. ;) happy watching!! Shanna Kincheloe ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (FOOTNOTE: Shanna Kincheloe, of Johnson City, teaches in the Education Department of East Tennessee State University and is the wife of Wes Kincheloe whose family owns a river/farm get-away cabin directly across from the Kyles Ford Bald Eagle nest on the Clinch River in Hancock Co., TN. On 11 March 2012, she told us she also saw the nest the first year it was found and reported the nest location to the state data base for eagle nests with TWRA. First evidence that young had hatched at this nest in 2012 came from a report and photo 4 March 2012 sent by Jennifer Meade which indicated the eaglets had hatched. But no hatchlings have actually been seen until Shanna sent her email. Shanna photo documents the first sighting of eaglets hatching at the Kyles Ford nest each year and has a complete file dating to the first year the nest was known. Thanks to Shanna and those advancing eagle reports . . . . Wallace Coffey Bristol, TN .
