There are still some nice ducks on the Fishery Park pond in Erwin. There
were Canada geese, widgeon, canvasbacks, redheads, 1 greater scaup and of
course, mallards, also the pintail and a shoveler were on the overflow area.

On the linear trail behind McDonalds I found a couple pied-billed grebes, a
ring-necked duck, mallards and Canada geese, a kingfisher and lots of
yellow-rumps and I was delightfully entertained by an adult male pileated
woodpecker that totally ignored me photographing him as he worked over a
rotting limb. Pictures attached.
