Today (18 Mar.) there were 7 Eared Grebes at Musick's on South
Holston Lake, 5 in near-full breeding plumage. I had not seen any
there since late Dec.

Also present:
Pied-billed Grebe: 24
Gadwall: 8
Am. Wigeon: 5
Green-wg. Teal: 18
Blue-wg. Teal: 3
Ring-nk. Duck: 36
Lesser Scaup: 12
Hooded Merganser: 2
Ring-billed Gull: 20

Seen there earlier in the day by H.P. Langridge:
Purple Martins.

Passing by Austin Springs on the way home
I saw 180+ Tree Swallows & 3 Barn Swallows.
