I took another stroll this morning (11/01/03) down into "Sparrowville"
(behind the Elizabethton post office). It was a nice morning. Notable
species: - Chipping Sparrow (2) - White-crowned Sparrow (3) I
could not relocate any Vesper Sparrows and the Savannah Sparrow (4) numbers
had dropped. Field, Song, Swamp, and White-throated rounded out the sparrow
list. (Eight species in two days) - I also had an immature male PURPLE
FINCH (1) singing --- Thomas McNeil --- Elizabethton, TN ---
