I noticed in the most recent issue of Audubon Magazine that there is a 4th Annual Southern Boreal Forest Bird Festival scheduled for the first weekend in June in Canaan Valley, WV. Has anyone in the Bristol Bird community attended this festival in the past? I have visited the valley but not for this event. It's a beautiful valley reminiscent for Shady Valley and Burke's Garden only slightly wilder and with a state park and ski area at one end. Also has the equally fascinating Dolly Sods Wilderness not far away. A birding festival would be a good excuse to make another visit there. Can anyone recommend it? The website for the festival is not yet complete for this year's event. Todd Eastin Shady Valley, TN
