Its the first Saturday of the month again--that month went by fast! That
means the Brookshire park bird and nature walk is this Saturday, the day
after tomorrow, Dec. 2.
We meet as usual at the main lot at 8 AM, which is nice now that
standard time is back in, as it should be full daylight. There has been
a real conspicuous absence of birds in the high country this late fall,
and we'll see if the warm stretch brings any out.
The walk is free and open to the public, and always fun. Brookshire park
is a couple miles east of boone on US421 right where the New River goes
under the bridge.
