Many of you may not be aware that the Bristol Bird Club is scheduled to
have their Fall Banquet on October 12th. This year we are partnering with
the City of Bristol and the Friends of Steele Creek Park to have the event
in conjunction with their Wildlife Weekend. Not only has that afforded us
a great venue (Steele Creek Lodge for the dinner and Nature Center for the
presentation), we have a really great speaker lined up. Dr. Andy Jones
will be joining us for what is sure to be a wonderful discussion on the
wildlife of our region and the people that contributed to their study.
The presentation will be preceded by a dinner filled with fellowship and
other fun events. In addition to the food, we plan on recognizing a
distinguished person with the Stephen M. Russell award, giving out door
prizes, announcing our club renaming and more. And as if that wasn't
enough, we have a full slate of events on Saturday in conjunction with
Wildlife Weekend.
Attached you will find our banquet form that lays out the details of when
we plan on meeting, fees involved and how to send in your payment. It also
has a small section for selecting your primary food preference of those
offered by the caterer. Additionally, you will find attachments that
describe some of the Saturday events with Wildlife Weekend and some more in
depth details about our speaker. Deadline for forms to be completed and
mailed in is September 30th to ensure all provisions are made to make your
attendance as enjoyable as possible. We hope that you will consider
sharing this wonderful weekend with us!
