The Bristol Bird Club will have it's annual Mendota Hawk Watch field trip on Saturday, 9/25/04. There is no specified time. People come and go as they please. Use your own judgement concerning the weather. Broadwinged Hawks, Ospreys and Red-headed Woodpeckers have come through in large numbers so far this season. 9/25 is still in the peak broadwing flight range. There are still plenty north of us. This was originally slated as being a cookout. It has been done in the past but only with the use of an ATV which I have not been able to round up. I'm not able to haul everything we need for a cookout up to the tower. Sorry. I suggest we just go with brown bag style lunches, everyone on there own.
