This might not be news, but a Mute Swan (an adult) was an unexpected surprise
while walking the trails at Osceola Island in the tailwaters below South
Holston Dam in Sullivan County, TN.
The swan was seen by Bryan Stevens, Reece Jamerson and Howard Langridge on
Tuesday, Sept. 9. We also has a Spotted Sandpiper. The swan, and sandpiper,
were
on the back waters of the island, not those at the parking lot.

Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
