Bristol Bird Club members and friends will visit the Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area near Saltville VA on Saturday, April 24 for looks at spring migrants and breeding birds. The group will carpool from the ETSU center off the Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, leaving there at 7:30 a.m. Those who want to join the group in Abingdon should meet at the Food Country shopping area on Hwy 19 between 7:45 and 8:00, leaving there at 8:00 a.m. We should arrive at the wildlife area before 9:00 a.m. We will park near the Archery Range just past the ranger station and walk up the narrow gravel road. The trip should end about noon. Bring water and lunch or a snack. Those wishing to continue on up the mountain to Laurel Bed Lake may do so on their own.
