Area Birders, Yesterday, 9/25/04 after spending most of the day hawk watching at Birch Knob (only 6 Broadwings, 1 Sharpie and 1 Red-tail) members of the Buchanan County Bird Club stopped by the property of David Raines, where the first WHITE-THROATED SPARROW of the season was observed. Today, I observed my first PALM WARBLER of the season in my yard here on Compton Mt.in Buchanan County. The bobbing tail caught my attention.
