I hope I didn't come across as sounding rude or dismissive, I just know that it's not likely to happen is all. I seriously doubt that Sony cares that a hand full of Vita's will be bought by blind folks if they implement that feature. If they would have had it in from the start, then all is good. I just can't see them adding something like that. It doesn't bennifit their market in any way.

Well, can we use the touch screen to navigate the menus? There you have the
reason. :)

why would they? I can't see any reason for them to do that.

Oh that's really not good. I really hope they'll fix that in an update.

Fair enough. It doesn't bother me much, I wasn't really too interested in
getting one, but I was curious.

It was confirmed on a livestream on youtube. Someone asked if you can
use the buttons for the menus, and you can't, at all.

Do you have a link or something where this is detailed? So far I haven't
seen where this kind of information has been disclosed.

Hey guys. i have some very bad news for people interested in the vita. The
touch screen is required for the system menues. Using the buttons is not
an option making the vita unusable for us
