Hi Óran,
You might have been inadvertently pressing dot6, as well as dot8? (Dot6 on
its own, in 6-dot or in Contracted Braille, does nothing.)

Hi Brian
Wouldn’t you know it…..!
After reading your email, and doing nothing but try dot 8 again. Suddenly
the command brings me to a new line.
😂😂
Many thanks
Óran

Hi Oran.
Sorry about the delay but I had to charge up the braille output and I was up
the walls.
In Short Oran I set up a new email and dot 8 worked perfectly for me. I am
not replying on the focus 40 now as the text seem to be jumping all over the
place, jumping to the subject line and the cc line, but it was definitely
creating a knew paragraph on dot 8.
It might be something to try and have the app swicher empty when you are
writing a document it is worth trying.
I also tried the new paragraph in the notes app and it also worked.
Perhapse if it continues as an issue, we should contact the manufacturers.
Sorry I couldn’t be of greater help, but maybe some one else on the list
would have some advice.
Brian.
